Warranty Repairs and related Costing
We utilize Warranty and Repairs Management but we are finding that when we warranty an item then repair it and ship it back to the customer the cost of the repair is included in my Inventory Assembly costs having the effect of lowering the costs.
My original cost of all items in my assembly may be $100.00. The repair may cost me $20.00. The system is including the $20 as the cost of my assembly bringing down the cost of the assembly.
Is there a setting or process I should change so that the cost of the repaired item shipped back out to the customer is not considered the cost of the assembly?
