Change Base Price to wholesale repurcussions?

I have a client that wants to change the base price on all his items to actually be the wholesale price.  Then create another price level that will show the MSRP (Rather than the base price be the msrp).
I know I can do it, but I want to know if anyone out there can think of any repercussions to doing this?

The main reason for this is because netsuite's grid order entry bundle doesn't support defaulting to the customer's price level. It defaults to base price.  Most customers are wholesale for his business.
