Endless loop of DEAAAAATH = "Workflow Execution Usage Limit Exceeded"

I just found that I was getting the error message "Workflow Execution Usage Limit Exceeded" when opening some records.  Turns out I had a sel-referencing Transition on a State which was putting my Workflow into a tight loop and then faulting.

So... if you get this error... check to make sure you didn't accidentally add a little Transition on accident!
