Comparing Field Values
Hi, I'm a newbie and trying to set a date field based upon the status of a record, and update with the current date, if the status changes.
I can see a few ways to do it, but aren't experience enough to make any work. I believe you can use workflow to compare the values of a field before and after editing, but don't know how this is done.
Another option is to record the status of the field in a second field and then compare the two and if they don't match then update the date field. This requires being able to write an expression comparing the two fields and whether they are equal (or not equal). Again, don't have a clue how to.
