Workflow Send Welcome Email to New Web Customer
I've created a Workflow to send a welcome email to anyone that registers on the web store, whether they buy anything or not.
After the customer registers, the Customer record is of sub-type "Lead". However, when I set the Workflow up to initiate when a Lead is Created, it does not even attempt to run (the Workflow log is empty on the Customer record).
By trial and error, I found that this Workflow only works when I set the the sub-type to trigger on sub-type "Customer".
It then proceeds to email the customer on the "After Record Submit" trigger.
Can anyone explain why this does not work when set to sub-type "Lead", like I would expect it to?
