PO approval workflow - rejection

Quick question re: a PO approval workflow I'm working on...

I am quite satisfied with the workflow I have written so far - it's pretty simple but it works for our needs.  However, I'm stuck on the rejection part:

What I want is to have a "Rejection" trigger an email (that part works via a saved search with no issue), but then, I would like the status to reset to "Pending Approval" anytime a user makes an edit to the PO.  For some reason I cannot get this to work...Here's what it looks like so far:

1: Set Approval Buttons - (actions set buttons per user role before record load)
