Workflow help

Hi,

I am trying to set up two workflows, and getting stuck.

1st
If a sales order is raised and the account is overdue and/or this new order takes them over their allowed credit limit, the order needs to be approved and released by AR.

2nd
Journals can't be approved by the person creating them.

Any directions would be greatfully received.
