Intermittent duplication emails from SuiteFlow

We have several email alerts being sent from SuiteFlow and intermittently have duplicate emails being sent out from SuiteFlow.  From looking at the workflow history I can see the send email action was run 2 times, 4 seconds apart.  I do have a case open on this but have to believe others have had this issue and maybe there is a workaround for the double email issue.
