Journal Entry APproval: Rejection Reason
Hi All. I have a journal entry approval workflow. We want to make it mandatory that if the journal entry gets rejected, that a box called "Rejection Reason" needs filled out. So I created a custom field called Reject Reason and I have the workflow hide the field in the Initiate state. Then when it gets to the Reject state, I have actions to set the display type of the Reject Reason field to Normal, and another action to make that field mandatory.
This works as long as the approver goes into Edit the record in the Reject state. However, they have the ability to Reject the journal entry when the record is in View mode... Is there anyway to force a record into Edit mode in a state, or possible to only display the Approve/Reject buttons in Edit mode (thus not allowing the user to approve the record in View mode?)
