Context in Workflow for Memorized Transaction

I'm trying to create a workflow that will send an email with the transaction when the Memorized Transaction record is created.  It's a monthly recurrence.
I see the workflow has run (in System Notes in Sandbox), but it's not working.  I don't have a Context set. 
I need to set something, which I thought would be Context, to tell the Workflow to execute the Email Send when the Transaction record has been created by "System".
I don't see how to do that?
Any other help or comments is appreciated.  This has been very challenging for me!
