get user role when workflow set to execute as admin

I have a workflow for a Requisition approval process. Once the requisition has been approved I need to lock that requisition to everyone except the administrator. However, I have to execute the approval workflow as an administrator. I have 2 workflows put together. The first one determines the role of the user but then it enters the approval process that is executing as administrator and everyone's role shows up as administrator no matter what. I thought I could make another workflow for the Requisition to move to in the end that isn't set to execute as admin but the user
