SHow message when validating two custom date fields

Hi all,

I would like to achieve the following by using SuiteFlow and i am looking to the how to:

We have custom column fields which are start date and end date, regarding a lease period. However no validation is yet in place.
I would like to show the user a message when he/she enters for example a start date which is past end date and when the start and end date are the same.
Does anyone have some guidance for me in this matter?
