What are the difference between SDF "Account Customisation Project" and "SuiteApp Pro

Hi all,

I'm currently in a phase where I am testing the SDF functionality and have come across the "SuiteApp" project option.

Until now I have only been dealing with Account Customisation projects but I am wondering what are the differences and benefits of each (Account Customisation vs SuiteApp). Looking on SuiteAnswers I did not find much and I am trying to persuade the whole Dev department to start using the SDF functionality but cannot decide what the best approach is or whether I should use both?
