Carry custom fields from service item in to project tasks - newbie

Hi All,

Switched over from salesforce about 3 weeks ago...so I would much appreciate any direction you guys can give me.

I'd like to have the information provided by sales in the custom columns from the service item to be carried (automatically) to the project task.

Rather than selling a catalog of 50 items, we have 1 item that can be customized 50 different ways. This info needs to be sent to the order fulfillment folks.

Here's the example:

We sell a maid service.

We sell 1 service item - a maid.

Inside the estimate, we need to have our clients sign off on having 1 maid on
