Financial Tab Estimated work

I am manually updating an existing project record schedule details in the project view mode.

Here are the steps i follow.
1) create new project task
2) Enter the details on the main section and Resources tab details.
3) save this project task.

Now Clicking on the financial tab, the estimated work field remains unchanged. i always have to reload the page to get the updated values.

Is this how it is designed to work?
