Project reports not working ?

I've been prototyping a process in the new PM cababilities of 2008.2.  I  have issues with a report -- the "Current Backlog by Resource" report is pretty much blank and not reflecting the data I have entered in the system. Is this a known defect or am I doin' it wrong
