New to Advanced Projects - Please Help!!
I am setting up Advanced Project for the first time, and have a few questions I want to see if someone can help me address.
When our business sells an inventory item, typically there is an implementation project associated with the sale in order to customize and configure it before delivering to the client. For revenue recognition purposes, when a sale involves a project, then the sale of the inventory item is not recognized until the implementation project is complete. For sales not involving a project, revenue for the inventory item is recognized upon fulfillment.
1) We would like a project to be created whenever a sale involving a project is conducted. Is the best way to do this by creating a Service-For Sale item and creating a project under that item? We have tried messing around with this but it has been frustrating because the project tasks and details are very elementary when doing from an Item record.
