Resource Allocation Chart - Available time

Resource Allocation Chart - I have a resource allocated utilization of 25%, I can see it in the reports correctly. When I use the search function using the 'new allocation' button with the resource allocation chart - when I search for a resource, I get results with an incorrect availability of (for example) 98% ..anyone else had inconsistencies here ?
