Voiding a Time Entry

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm what voiding a time entry does. Does it
1. Unapprove the Time Entry ? or
2. Delete the Transactions associated with the time entry ? e.g. - time that hits a Sales Order for a T&M project
3. Delete the time entry and associated transactions ?

I would Void a time entry but Im having trouble getting Posting Time to pick up saved/approved time entries for posting

Any help appreciated,
