Service Item Costs

Has anyone else discovered that costs for service items are not shown on the invoice records?

For example, if a resource has a cost of $100 and you invoice for 1 hour of time (through a support case, project, task etc.) and the sell price is $200, the invoice will show the cost as $0 with a cost estimate type of custom.

If you edit the invoice, you cannot change the cost estimate.

Any sales report that you run will have an associated cost of $0, resulting in a profit of 100%.

NS support have stated this is an enhancement request.

Has anyone developed any scripts, workflows, reports etc to get around this bug?
