Changing functional currencies in OneWorld

If a subsidiary using NetSuite OneWorld were to change their functional currency (analogous to Base Currency in the subsidiary record) at some time in the future, my understanding is that there is no functionality in OneWorld to handle that. Once the Base Currency is set in the subsidiary and it goes-live, there's no way to change it 2-3 years down the road.

That would effectively mean that a re-implementation for the subsidiary changing its functional currency would be required? Is this correct?

We are about to start a OneWorld implementation for a customer in this situation and would like to know how to handle this situation.
