Different reporting currency from base currency.
Hi,
We have a new Swedish client in One World with a base currency in the parent company of SEK (Swedish Crowns). External and internal reporting is done in SEK. They have several subsidiaries in Europe and the rest of the world and for internal purposes they use EUR as the reporting currency for the consolidated group.
Would it be advisable to set up a "reporting" parent company at the top, with EUR as the currency, and set up the proper structure with the SEK parent company directly below? What negative implications could there be? Has anyone tried this? Are there better ways?
