Subsidiary Hierarchy Change - Historical Data preferred

Hi, I need to determine whether it's possible to change the structure of the subsidiaries and get historical consolidation reporting? We need to move one subsidiary beneath the sub it is currently sisters with. There will be historical and future data posted. Is there a way to get reporting under the old structure and the new structure? Or is it just a matter of including or excluding that subsidiary in a report?
