Catalog software

Wondering if anyone uses any third party software that will create custom catalogs based on some customer criteria, ie customer history etc.

We are looking for some software or script that will create a PDF output. Wondering if there are any other companies interested in this. I do have a quote from a scripting company but also know that there is third party software that would do something similar. If anyone has any interest or used such software and have been successful please let m know
