Need Support Advice

Hi,
I haven't been an active UG member for quite some time, but I really need some help!  We really need to get some good support and are trying to decide which way to go.
Thought about using a Partner, but that doesn't seem to work out for us as well.  The pricing is almost as much as the NS support.  Does anyone use the Gold Support?  Can we test it first??
