Google Tag Manager variables

We're moving from SiteBuilder to SCA and now need to re-implement Google Tag Manager.  I imported the JSON file that was generated from the Developer's portal.There isn't any documentation that explains the SCA variables, triggers, or how to extend the tags within the SCA environment.  Specifically, does anyone know how to reference the transaction number and individual product information from the items in the cart?
