Error when deploying to a Form (rather than record)

So,

I've got a simple Client-script that responds to fieldChanges.  I works fine when deployed to a record, but causes an instant (and untraceable) error, when deployed no a form.

Deeper thought:  Am I wasting my time trying to create SuiteScript 2.0 scripts?  It seems FAR from ready.
