Scheduled Script Parameter Defaults

Hello community,

I have a scheduled script and i created a parameter for it. I put a default value in that parameter..... Now when I try to access the parameter via the suitescript (js) file, i cannot get the value of the parameter.. this is what i've done:

    var currentScript = runtime.getCurrentScript()       var param = currentScript.getParameter({    name: 'custscript_customer_id' })


When i log the param variable i get blank.... So i'm not sure if i'm doing this right.
