Mass Update - Convert Projects/Jobs to Subcustomers

We are trying to update our projects that came thru incorrectly on the QB migration load to subcustomers with the Mass Update tool.  No matter what filter we choose, we cannot get ANY data to come up for transfer to sub-customer status from Project/Job status.  Has anyone used this feature successfully???
