Sales discounts
We are wondering what is the best practice to do a Discount for Sale.
List > Items > Discount.
For example we are going to run a promotion for 10% off we previously use to use a posting account such as sales discounts to record the discount.
Lets say we sell Item 1 for $100 and give a 10% discount. The sale would be recorded as $100 with sales discount recoding a $10 discount.
Now I see that you can use a non posting account. Does this mean that the transaction will record as a $90 sale. (basically change the price of the item to reflect the discounted price).
