Files/attachments in NetSuite?

Hi,

I am wondering if/how much people put attachments/letters into NetSuite and then link them up to contacts/leads/etc.  In our initial experiments, it seems that the 'files to attach' list gets way too long to be useful.  Do people use this and I'm just missing something, or is this something that people stay away from?
