"lost" proposal but still interested...
OK, I'm looking for some advice here. Say we make a proposal to someone and they say something like "I like what you have, but since the sky is light blue today, I need to hold off 4 months on this." What would folks recommend as a best practice to process that opportunity/estimate?
1) Mark the estimate as lost, but "keep" the opportunity and adjust the est. closed date (keeps the deal in the pipeline)? Although in this case, the header still shows Prospect - Issued Estimate (even if you adjust the status down, but maybe that's not bad...).
2) Mark the estimate and opportunity as lost and have a f/u task to recontact in 4 months (no pipeline visibility?)
