CA taxes on Support and Upgrades
Anyone out there have best practice for setting up Ca taxes on software support.
In Ca, software support that includes updates and tech support is 50% taxable.
I do not see a good method of modifiying tax values based on a formula on the quotes/orders.
The only thing that comes to mind right now is creating a group with 2 items (one for updates that is taxable, the other for support which is not taxable). The downside of this is that I now must create different items for CA than I do in WA, NV, OR.
Any advice would be appreciated.
