Accepting gift certificates as payment on open invoices
We have a customer (a retailer) who redeems our gift certificates for his customers - the actual certificate holder. (not my decision but one of those 'no regards to how messy it is in our system "special" agreements made between a customer and our CEO..' but that is a whole other story for another time and place).....
Anyway, now I am left to figure out how to deal with this. I have a customer who has mailed in 2 $50 gift certificates which need to be credited to their account. I need to cash in the GC's and then create a credit on this customer's account.
