Drop Shop Best Practices

Would anyone have a "Drop Ship Best Practices" document developed?

At a high level, it might contain:
1) Pro's / Con's of using the Advanced Shipping and Advanced Receiving combinations.
2) Pro's / Con's of using "Marked Shipped" versus "Receive Purchase Order"
3) How to best to inform the customer of the tracking information?
4) Best procedures for handling mixed scenarios where our warehouse ships, and two or more vendors are drop shipping.

Any advice would be great...
