Possible to edit Task Status

Hi all,

On the task tab on the main netsuite home tab.   I can edit all of the fields on the main page.. but I cant edit the status of the task..    Unless I click on edit.. and then change it to completed etc...

Why Cant I edit the status on the main page??   Is there anyway possible to do this?
