Convert Partner to Customer.

Our original import of our customer base had people without a status (business, individual and so on) set up as a Partner. It is now time to either get rid of all these Partners or turn them into Prospects.

Is this the best practice:
1) Export all Partners and Partner Contacts to Excel
2) Sort through the Excel List and remove any we don't want.
3) Import new Excel list back into NS as Prospects.
4) Inactivate Partners.

It was like this when I got this job! I didn't do it!!
