Private and public calendar

Each individual user has the ability to change the Default setting on there Calendar, Calls, Events List, and Tasks to be Private/Public/etc.

If an individual has there calender settings set to public and then register an Event on a customer shoulden´t it be possible for other users to see this event if they go in to the customer record.

And if the individual set there status to private and share there calender with other, shoulden´t does individual see this event on the customer record?
