Create PDF print outs

Does anyone out there know how to create a PDF template to create a printable form for custom records? Like the ones NetSuite uses for Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Picking Tickets, etc. I want to be able to fill out my custom form, hit the print button, and have a pdf file pop up (that I've designed) to print.
