Custom Record Permissions
I have set up a custom record and a custom search that emails upon update of these custom records. At this point the email update portion of the search worked fine.
I then imited the permission for most users, viewing and editing for this record. This aspect works fine as well. the restricted users can only see the records they or their subordinates create and anyone without restricted access can view all of the records in the custom search.
The problem is the custom search which is set to email on update only emails the updates when they are created by someone who does not have their access limited. any updates created by someone with restricted access are never emailed.
