Remove old unused

Hello everybody,

We are thinking remove old unused data from our NetSuite database (80% of opportunities, transactions and phone calls). We have the following questions regarding that:

1. When a record is removed, the size of database is reduced, right? Should we do something special to reduce the database after we removed the records?

2. When we removed a transaction, How are ours accounting information affected?

3. How our performance is beneficed when we reduced the amount of records and the database size?
