Managing Staff Movements
We'd like to set up a dashboard portlet that displays which staff are out of the office on a given day, whether they're on holidays or meeting customers.
The problem is, I can't for the life of me figure out how to create a multi-day event, it seems like they're limited to a single day per event, and it's unreasonable to expect our employees to create between 2 and 14 records just because they're taking more than a single day of leave, or if they're spending a week at a trade show.
What is the best practice for handling staff movements like this? Can I create a single event spanning days, or would I be better creating a custom record?
