emailing Invoices

Is it possible to have the system email invoices automatically upon save to the contact for the particular invoice? I know you can select send transactions via email in the customer record. My understanding is that this will email the invoice to the main email address on the customer record. I would like to have the invoice automatically emailed to the contact.
