Existing customer - Provide website access
We are looking for best practices on how to structure our workflow to give existing customers access to their account through our Netsuite hosted website.
Currently we have about 2,200 customer that we have been doing business with primarily over the phone. We would like to give them the ability to purchase directly through our website, but don't know how to go about giving them access effectively. Other than creating a password and communicating this to them via the phone or email is there a way that can register on our website and create their own password? We don't want to create a new lead in our system rather have it update their existing customer record.
