Best Practices for Light Manufacturing

edited Dec 6, 2019 2:37PM in General 1 comment

I am looking for suggestions for how to implement NS for a single step manufacturing process. In my case, I purchase a drum of material, and pay a contract filler to fill it in containers of different sizes. But I don't know my yield until I get the product back (it varies), so how do I best capture my cost data?

More specific questions - I also resell the drums of material that I use as raw material. And it is lot numbered inventory. How do I best use units of measure that capture eaches (1 175kg drum), and grams (unit of measure for filling small containers)? I don't want a partially used drum showing as available for sale.

Howdy, Stranger!
