Vendor Prices, not quantity related

We do use multiple vendors.
Anyone have any work around ideas on how to record the vendor price when the vendor price changes due to registered project costing?  We have a normal price and a price for special projects.  We need to be able to choose between those when writing a PO to the same vendor.  This is not volume related, so I can't think of a way to use the price schedules.
