Sales in multiples

We can establish "reorder multiples" for vendors but not for sales items.  There were some older posts from 2008 that asked for assistance to be able to create sales order in Netsuite and online with popup saying "this item can only be ordered in multiples of..." but no options offered except setting up kits.  There has got to be a better way, especially if vendor ordering can be done in multiples. I have set a minimum order qty at, say 50, but customer/CSR can still order 51, which doesn't help when we can only sell 50, 100, 150, etc.   Any help is much appreciated!
