Importing Data from Legacy Systems & Actual Closed Date Fields

I am a new User to the forum, we have just recently gone live withh Netsuite &, I am looking for some advice.

We have noticed that on our Support Tickets & Opportunities, when we import the closed ones from our legcay Systems, the Standard Netsuite Field 'Actual Closed Date' is populated not with the date that the Support case or the Opportunity was Actually closed ie, the same date as that field in our Legacy System(s), it is populated with the Date you Imported the Data from the legacy System. This makes analysis such as this Month vs January Last year impossible as, we have many thousands of records that should be spread out over last year 2015 when they were really
