Duplicate records in NetSuite

We have roughly 115k customer/prospect/lead records in NetSuite and a good portion of those are duplicates. We've been making an effort to reduce the number of dupes but we're fighting a losing battle. We import tons of paid lists and we try to catch duplicates before they're entered, though we often get thrown off by typos and alternate company names (ex. Peace Tree Farms, Peace Tree Gardens, Peace Tree Farm) and it leads to catastrophe. The sales reps who should be entering activities and updating customer and contact info are now doing that spread across multiple records. They aren't sure
