Build-Your-Own-Kit solution for customers?

edited Dec 6, 2019 2:34PM in General 1 comment

We are going to offer a Build-Your-Own-Kit 'item' for our customers.

The number of member/component SKUs will grow over time, but we currently have 24 SKUs available for the Kit.

The Kit can contain a maximum of 12 different SKUs, or a fewer number of SKUs but multiples of some of them.

In terms of component/member quantities, the max per Kit is 12.

**For the record, I'm using 'Kit' as a general term, not as a NetSuite Kit Item. I'm fine with whatever item type and setup makes the most sense for customer ordering and order processing.

The ideal setup would be an Item Drilldown page where customers can enter quantities for the member items to be included in their kit, add the 'Kit' to their cart and submit the order. In the backend, the member item inventory would be committed to the order, and fulfilling the order would consume the inventory.

Howdy, Stranger!
